Memory Issues
I just want to preface this whole post with the fact that I have an obscenely bad memory. For those of you out there who are psychology buffs, you should understand me when I say that, while linguistic intelligence may be my forte, bodily-kinesthetic would definitely be my main short-coming. Hence why I can remember conversations practically word-for-word for some time after, can still remember comments people have made years later, and can recite dialogue from movies/plays/books like crazy, but I couldn't tell you for the life of me where I put something.
Which brings me to today's funny story. I had to give a presentation in my psychology class about nature vs. nurture, and the shaping factors in my life. We needed 10 symbols. Now, one of my symbols was going to be my permit, which I've lost twice, and I was going to talk about my memory. Well...I finished my presentation and went back to my seat, and realized about five seconds later that I had forgotten to talk about it. That right there is a perfect example of irony. I forgot to talk about the symbol representing my bad memory.
Then, two class periods later (in 5th), I realized I had forgotten the box one class before (4th period Japanese). For shame!!! If Mr. T still pitied fools, he'd waste a whole day of pity on me right about now.
On the topic of Mr. T, I found out today that he no longer pities fools. That makes me sad inside. The moment I heard it, I felt a tiny piece of my childhood slipping away. Although, in a way, I suppose it's for the best. He probably doesn't want to be known just for that, like Chuck Norris is known only for Chuck Norris jokes, the roundhouse kick, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
And now, for something that has nothing to do with anything, I shall speak of video games.
I bought God of War, Final Fantasy 12, and Bully over the weekend. They all be much fun, yessiree. I was talking to a friend, and I think it's time I decided on specifics for each member of the team in FF12. What I've got now is Vaan and Basch will both be upfront fighting, one with black magic and the other with green, respectively. Balthier will be ranged weapons, and Fran will be ranged weapons and white magic, meaning I needs lots and lots of ethers. If anyone has any suggestions on a better combo, I'd be happy to hear it.
Uhm, other than that, there's not much going on in my life. Ta!

Free Hugs <3
Free Hug Count: 10 (For one day's work, I would say that's not too bad, considering the fact that, for most of the time, there weren't many people around anyway. I think I'll do it again in school tomorrow.)
So I went through and deleted all of the posts in here just now. Crazy, right? Oh well, it wasn't like anyone was reading them anyway. Plus my whole idea about "gonna update once a week with a whole format and bleh" was becoming nonesense. I actually hadn't touched this in almost two years. Which, according to four out of five mathematicians, is a lot more than a week (we never trusted that fifth fellow anyway).
Because of this, this post will essentially serve as my first ever post on here, the get to know me one and whatnot, but this comes later. I think I will also use this blog more often, and as a way to chronicle my last year of high school, and whatever else the world holds for me. Heck, in between this and my other one, who knows? I may even get some followers, and I may be able to show prospective employers what kind of person I am.
So! Getting to know me! Well, I'm currently a senior in high school, and yes, the rumors about senioritis are, in fact, true. Although...I think it's effecting me in the opposite way. For some reason, because I don't have much to worry about, I'm actually trying harder. I'm taking a creative writing course, among others, and am still continuing with my obsessive desire to learn languages. Now if only I could stick with one long enough to become fluent, I would be golden! I'm in my first year of Japanese (Watashi wa nihon ni ikimashita, I've been to Japan.), and we're learning conjugation like crazy. It's a good thing I've done this sort of stuff before, or I think I would be a bit lost.
I enjoy doing a lot of computer and art related things in my free time. Yes, I do consider video games to fit into both of those categories. I finally beat Heavenly Sword and Prince of Persia, yay me, and I'm working my way through Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge. Let me just tell you, the work on the worlds in all of those games is just gorgeous. I also have A.C.II on preorder ($60 later XP), and I can't wait to play that.
I also enjoy researching my roots. Ethnically, I'm 100% American, but bloodline-wise, I'm 1/2 Lithuanian, 1/4 Ukranian, and 1/4 Sicilian. My mother is the Lithuanian in me, and I have a goal to learn enough Lithuanian to hold a phone conversation with my grandmother, although I'm not sure if that will ever happen. I can count in it, however, something I'm a tad proud of.
Another big love of mine is movies! I absolutely adore going to see the moving pictures! The last movie I went to see was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (for the second time). I also tend to be rather...voiciferous about my opinions of said movies, and if not those, then the previews. If not either of those, I was probably asleep, which is opinion enough for me.
Now for some dislikes. Loud noises, hot weather, and Bill O'Reilly come to mind, but I also hate hagfish (they are ugly little mofos), and pickles. I applaud that school for being the fighting pickles, but as for pickles themselves, I can't really stand to eat them.
On a final closing note, something happened today which I found really hilarious. Me and some friends were wandering around looking for lines of poetry, and one guy was so exhuberant about it. The line he gave us was, "With the kneecaps of a goddess :)". Yep, complete with little smiley face. He then proceeded to run, literally run, away. May you all meet such a fellow in your own lives!
